Amber Alert Canceled for 4 Ohio Children

An Ohio statewide Amber Alert has been canceled after the children were found safe in Columbus on Monday morning. The suspect has been taken into custody.

Shannon Desiree Volz, 10 yrs. blue eyes, blonde hair, wearing tan shorts and a purple shirt.

Joseph Lee Skief, 2 yrs., green eyes, blond hair, wearing brown shorts, white shirt and a diaper.

Tyler Jacob Skief, 4 yrs., with green eyes, brown hair, wearing tan shorts, blue Hawaiian shirt.

Trevor Austin Kenneth Skief, 6 yrs., blue eyes, shaved blonde hair, wearing green shorts, shirt with a navy stripe, sandals.

Police are looking for Wayne E. McMurtey, 51 yrs., white male, 5'11", 150 lbs. with brown eyes and brown hair.

He was last seen driving a 1996 green Ford Contour with license plates DGG5925.

Police say McMurtey, who is also identified as the children's step-grandfather, is a convicted child molester and has served prison time.
