AMBER Alert Canceled for 17 Year Old Colorado Girl

The State of Colorado canceled the Amber Alert Monday afternoon (08-03) after the girl was found safe in New Mexico and the suspect was taken into custody.

The State of Colorado issued the Amber Alert on Monday (08-03) after the girl was forcibly taken from her home in Bayfield, in La Plata County. The suspect is considered to be armed and dangerous. They are believed to be headed to Mexico.

Deanna Archuleta a 17 year old Hispanic female, 5 feet 7 inches tall, weighing 120 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing capri pants, a maroon shirt and black flip-flops.

The suspect is Daniel Baker, a 25 year old Hispanic male, 5 feet 4 inches tall, weighing 124 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing Blue jeans and a blue shirt. He has an earring in his left ear.

The suspect vehicle is a black Mercury Mountaineer with New Mexico license number FFC983. A second possible suspect vehicle is a blue Dodge Durango with New Mexico tag number GJS875.

Anyone with information is asked to call the La Plata County Sherriff's Office at 970-382-7020 or dial 911.
