8, 4'3", 80 lbs. with red hair and green eyes, was abducted from her grandmother's house five miles west of Bastrop TX, USA on Thursday the 24th. Bastrop is 20 miles SE of Austin TX.

Lacy Austin surrendered to the Bastrop County Sheriff's Office Thursday night and released his daughter Tamera, 8, to authorities.

Earlier in the day, a judge granted Tamera's grandmother temporary custody. But investigators say Lacey Austin got into a custody struggle at his home and that's when he took off with his daughter. Authorities believed he was armed with a gun at the time.

The sheriff's office says Austin has been stressed since his wife was killed in a shooting at their home last year.

He faces charges of interfering with child custody. He could be sentenced anywhere from 6 months to 2 years in prison if convicted.
