Amber Alert Canceled for 5 Year Old Michigan Girl

The Muskegon police Department and the state of Michigan has canceled the Amber Alert on Tuesday evening August 30 after the girl was found safe. The suspect has been found along with her boyfriend, but the boyfriend was later released. No charges will be filed in the case as it turned out the suspect was allowed to take the child, but later in the day.

Lamiya Amber Balogh , 5 years old. She's biracial, 4 feet tall, and weighs about 65 pounds. She has brown eyes and brown hair. She was wearing gray sweatpants and a white tank top.

The suspect is Shelby Rae-Keith Smith, 17 years old, 5 feet 5 inches tall white female. She weighs 130 pounds. she has blue eyes and brown hair. She was wearing gray sweatshirt and dark pajama pants.

The vehicle is a red Pontiac Grand Am. No license plate is available at this time. They may be headed to Nuncia, Michigan.
