Amber Alert Canceled for Two North Carolina Children

The Watauga County Sheriff's office and the North Carolina Department of Crime Control canceled the Amber Alert on Wednesday after the children were located safe in Grayson County, Virginia. The suspects are in custody.

Paul Canter, 2 yrs., white male, 2'7", 28 lbs with blond hair and blue eyes. Paul was wearing blue overalls and a long sleeve shirt.

Brianna Canter, 11 mos., 2'3", 18 lbs and is wearing a flowered long sleeve shirt.

Police say their father James Canter and their mother abducted them at gunpoint. The suspects are considered armed and dangerous.

They were last seen heading west toward Tennessee in a white 2-door Ford with a white vinyl top. The vehicle has been found empty and there is no new vehicle information.
