Amber Alert Canceled for 4 Year Old California Boy

The State of California canceled the alert Tuesday afternoon (02-01) after the child's body was positively identified. He had been found earlier in the day in the same canal where the suspect vehicle was found a few days earlier. The suspect is also believed to be dead but his body has not been found.

The State of California issued the Amber Alert late Tuesday (01-18) after the suspect abducted the boy in Patterson. The suspect is believed to be driving to the San Jose area.

Juliani Cardenas, an Hispanic male, 4 years old, 3' 6", 40 pounds with brown eyes and black hair. He was last seen wearing dark pants and a light blue shirt.

The suspect is Jose Esteban Rodriguez, an Hispanic male, 27 years old, 5' 9", 180 pounds with brown eyes and black hair. He was last seen wearing a white and black shirt, checkered shorts, and a beanie.

The suspect vehicle is a silver Toyota Corolla with California tag number 6HBW445. It has has oversize aluminum wheels. The left rear wheel is the spare wheel (smaller).
