The State of Tennessee canceled the Amber Alert Friday afternoon (10-21) after the child was recovered safe in Dalton, Georgia and the suspect taken into custody.
The State of Tennessee issued the Amber Alert Friday morning (10-21) after the girl was abducted from her home in Overton County. The suspect is the child's step father and is in violation of a restraining order which prohibits any contact with the child. He was arrested for child neglect in July and reportedly assaulted the child's mother with a knife during the abduction.
Cassidy Dailey, a white female, 12 Years old, 5' tall and 130 pounds with black hair and green eyes.
The suspect is Allen Harness, a 37 year old white male, 6'1" tall, 256 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes.
The suspect vehicle is a 2005 WHITE FORD F530 utility TRUCK with license plate 036YXB. The vehicle will have "Tennessee Central Concrete" on the side with a tool box and gas pump in the back.

Advocates for missing children would like to see all cases get the attention that high-profile incidents receive, but the vast majority of abduction cases go relatively unnoticed.
