Amber Alert cancelled for 15 Year Old North Carolina Girl

A statewide Amber Alert has been cancelled for a 15-year-old Durham girl believed to be kidnapped at gunpoint Friday afternoon. The child was found safe. There is no further information available at this time. Click for map of Durham, North Carolina.

Natalie Sanchez Fernandez, a Hispanic female, stands 5 feet 6 inches, weighs about 160 pounds, has brown eyes and black shoulder-length hair. She was last seen wearing a white jacket, blue Polo pullover short-sleeve shirt and blue athletic pants with red and white stripes.

One of the assailants was described as a black male, about 5 feet 5 inches tall, 150 pounds, with a dark complexion, mustache and goatee. He was last seen wearing a red shirt and red pants, police said. The other man was described as a Hispanic male, about 5 feet 10 inches, 160 pounds, with a dark complexion, and short brown hair.

Durham police said two men forced Fernandez into a white two-door Honda Civic with tinted windows after she got off a school bus at 311 S. LaSalle St. shortly after 3 p.m.

The car was last seen on LaSalle Street heading toward Hillsborough Road.
