Amber Alert Canceled for 5 Year Old Montreal Girl

Police in Longueuil, south of Montreal, canceled the Amber Alert after the girl was found safe in Drummondville, about 100 kilometres away. The suspect was with the child when she was found.

Megane Ladouceur, 5 yrs., white female with brown hair, is 91 cm tall, 23 kg was abducted Friday night in Longueuil, south of Montreal.

Police are looking for Sophie Cayer, 30 yrs. white female. Police believe the child's grandmother may also be with them.

The suspect vehicle is a red four-door 2000 Nissan Altima with Quebec license plate 302 HTS.

According to Longueuil police spokesman Jean-Pierre Gignac, a note threatening suicide was found in the family home.
