Amber Alert Issued for 16 Month Old North Carolina Boy

The North Carolina Center for Missing Persons issued the Amber Alert on Wednesday morning after the child was abducted on Monday. The child is believed to be in imminent danger.

Enrique James Lazo is a 16-month-old White/Hispanic male, approximately 17 inches long, weighing 25 pounds. He has brown hair, and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a yellow onesie, brown sandals with a leather strap. He has a birthmark on his right buttock.

The suspect is Rene Rachelle Lazo, a 28 year old White female, 5 feet , weighing 120 pounds with blonde hair and Blue eyes. She was last seen wearing a pink T-shirt, blue jeans with brown rainbow flip flops. Rene has a mole on her upper lip on the left side.

The suspect vehicle is a Maroon 1997 GEO Prism with tag number WNC3856.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Cabarrus County Sheriff's Office immediately at (704) 920-3000, or dial 911.
