Amber Alert Issued for 16 Year Old Tennessee Girl

The State of Tennessee and the Memphis Police Department issued the Amber Alert after the child was abducted and the child's boyfriend assaulted. The alert was regional but has since gone statewide, and Georgia has also activated their Amber Alert system.

Veronica Lopez 16 years of age. She's a Hispanic female. She's 4 feet 11 inches tall and 170 pounds. She was last seen wearing a white shirt and brown pants.

The suspect is Cipriano Ovalle, 22 year old Hispanic male. He is 5 feet 5 inches tall, 140 pounds. Cipriano was last seen wearing a blue striped short sleeved shirt, blue jeans and red tennis shoes. He is armed with a tire iron that was used to assault the victim's boyfriend during the abduction.

The subjects are in a 2000 Red Ford Focus with TN license plate 423FRL.
