Amber Alert Canceled for 8 Month Old Indiana Boy

The South Bend, Indiana Police Department and the State of Indiana canceled the Amber Alert after the boy was found safe in Gary Indiana on Friday night. No information is available regarding the suspect at this time.

Jeremiah Martin, 8 mos., Black male, 20 inches long, 20 lbs. with brown eyes and curly black hair. Jeremiah Martin was last seen at 4:00 p.m. 424 N. Harrison St., South Bend, IN and is believed to be in extreme danger.

Police are looking for Kenneth Vanderaa, 26 yrs., White Male, 5'11", 260 lbs with a shaved head and blue eyes.

The suspect vehicle is a Two Tone Gray and Silver possibly Chevrolet Caprice style four-door sedan with possible partial Indiana plate 96 or 98 letter unknown 9987. Kenneth Vanderaa should be considered armed and dangerous. He was last seen armed with a black revolver with white handgrips. He may be en route to Gary, IN or Mishawaka, IN.
