Amber Alert Canceled for 1 Year Old Illinois Boy

The Milan Illinois Police Department canceled the Amber Alert after the boy was found safe in the Davenport area. The suspect is being questioned but has not been charged at this time.

Daunte McDowell, 1 yrs., white male with brown hair and brown eyes was last seen with his father Thomas McDowell walking toward a city bus stop.

He was last seen wearing a navy blue sweat suit with a yellow stripe down the side, a blue shirt, and a navy blue and gray jacket with a football on it. He has a blonde spot on the back of his head.

Police are looking for Thomas McDowell, 31 yrs., black male. He was last seen wearing a tan khaki baseball cap, blue/navy t-shirt, faded jeans, and was also wearing a gold rope chain necklace.

Police say McDowell picked up Daunte at a day care. He allegedly threatened harm to the child and is possibly heading to Davenport.

He has previously been charged with assault and police urge caution.
