Amber Alert Canceled for 8 Year Old Indiana Girl

The Indiana State Police and the Lafayette Police canceled the Amber Alert on Tuesday afternoon after the girl and the suspect were found in Nuevo Laredo Mexico. The suspect is in custody and the girl is safe.

Jacquelin Rodriguez Ortiz, 8 yrs., female Hispanic, 4'6", l00 lbs with a scar on the right side of her chin.

She was wearing a pink short sleeve shirt, cream-colored Capri pants with flowers and blue sandals.

Lafayette Indiana Police Department says Jacqueline Rodriguez Ortiz was abducted by Carlos Alberto Ramirez-Gonzales, who also goes by Carlos A. Cordero, 26 yrs., Hispanic male, 5'5", 130 lbs. Black hair and brown eyes.

Vehicle update: Suspect may be driving a maroon or red 1987 Pontiac Grand Am 2 door, which he purchased Friday, July 2.

Suspect vehicle is 1991 Ford Thunderbird, 2 door, Gray in color, unknown Temporary plates.
