Amber Alert Issued for 16 Year Old Alabama Girl

The Cherokee County Sheriff's Department and the Alabama Department of Public Safety issued the Amber Alert after the girl was taken from school on April 13, 2005.

Jade Sophia Padgett, 16 years old. She's white, 5 feet 6 inches tall and 115 pounds. She has dark brown hair and dark brown eyes. Jade was last seen at 3 p.m., April 13, 2005, at Sand Rock School in Cherokee County, and is believed to be in danger. Jade was wearing a long-sleeved white T-shirt, faded blue jeans, and tennis shoes.

The suspect is an unknown male, approximately 30 years old. No further description is available at this time.
