Amber Alert Canceled for 3 Georgia Girls

The Gordon County Sheriff's Office and the GBI canceled the Amber Alert after the three girls were recovered safe. The suspect suffered a self inflicted gunshot wound and is in critical condition in Knoxville Tennessee. The girls are safely in the care of Tennessee Child Protective services.

Three Georgia Girls


Brittney Phelps (top right) , a white 10 year old, Brandy Jones (middle right), a white four year old and Tammy Jones (no photo) a white 3 year old were abducted in Ranger Georgia on January7 or 8.

Police are looking for Jerry William Jones a white male, 32 yrs., 5' 7" 150 lbs. driving a 1991 maroon Ford Explorer with the Georgia license plate 730YFV.

Four people were found dead at the scene of the abduction and the suspect is considered armed and dangerous.
