Amber Alert cancelled for 2 Year Old Michigan Boy

The Detroit Police Department and the Michigan State Police cancelled the Amber Alert after the child was found safe with a friend. The child is in child protective services custody, and the mother is being questioned at this time. This alert will not count towards the Code Amber statistics. Click for a map of Detroit.

Troy Charles James Squalls is a two year old black male, 3'6" tall, 32 pounds, brown eyes, black hair. He was last seen wearing a yellow and blue shirt/shorts set.

Police say he was abducted by a man driving a gold colored mini van (possibly a Chevrolet Astro Van) at 9:30 a.m. while the child was walking with his mother on Wadsworth St. between Rosemont and Penrod.

The suspect vehicle is a gold colored mini van (possibly a Chevrolet Astro Van). The police do not have a license plate number on the mini van.
