Child Safety Week 2018 Resources

Thank you for educating families on the correct selection and use of child restraints during Child Passenger Safety Week 2018. Your efforts have helped to keep Pennsylvania's children safe while traveling on our roadways. Please share your results with us so your efforts can be documented. Please submit your event data by October 5th, 2018. PA TIPP will be compiling these results into a list and submitting them to PennDOT and NHTSA. We would like to collect the data from all events conducted during Child Passenger Safety Week to accurately recognize and record the time and effort dedicated to protecting children in communities across Pennsylvania. Record your event data online through the link below or complete the data collection form found on the last page of the Child Passenger Safety Week 2018 Planner and submit your results to This email address is being protected from spambots. Child Passenger Safety Week 2018 Planner: This resource has child passenger safety information to use as you plan and promote your community activity. The planner provides child safety seat and seat belt statistics, a sample press release, best practice child passenger safety messages based on the "Five Steps for Correct Use", educational resources, and a synopsis of Pennsylvania's Occupant Protection law addressing child passengers. The final page has information registering your community car seat check event so it will be included in the statewide list of events submitted to PennDOT and NHTSA. All submitted events will be posted on the NHSTA and TIPP website.

Please join Pennsylvania in observing Child Passenger Safety Week 2018. Register your car seat check event scheduled during the week of September 23rd - 29th. Registered car seat check events will be shared and advertised through media releases and posted on the NHTSA and PA TIPP websites. Community events can be registered by completing the registration form found on the last page of the Child Passenger Safety Week 2018 Planner or online through the link below. TIPP does not need to be involved in the community car seat check events; we are merely compiling a list of all events to share with PennDOT, NHTSA and statewide community partners. If you are interested in receiving a list of events being held throughout Pennsylvania, please email This email address is being protected from spambots.
