Personal Safety

Det Supt Dennis Murray speaks about policing and personal safety over Christmas

With the number of people visiting the county’s towns expected to increase significantly over the Christmas and New Year weekends, more officers will be on patrol to help people enjoy a safe and crime-free festive night out.

Officers will be patrolling the busy town centres during the holiday period, cracking down on crime and disorderly behaviour and helping people to enjoy the festivities and celebrations safely.

Detective Superintendent Dennis Murray hopes everyone will have a good night out and is encouraging people plan ahead and be aware of their personal safety.
