Some thoughts from Lesson #4…

I’m going to challenge you to regularly practice sprinting 50 feet or 50 yards. Here’s why…

Sprinting powerful. Sprinting also forces your body to work together. And when it comes to self-defense, sprinting is incredibly practical!

Knife? Run. Gun? Run. Bomb? Run.

Seriously, self-defense doesn’t have to be any fancier than a 50-yard dash.

But what if you can’t run? That’s where shuffling comes in. Being able to move your feet to manage your position is critical to effective offense and defense.

One exercise to help get your feet moving is “fast feet”. Just stand naturally and see how fast you can pick up your feet.

Then apply the same idea to your stance from Lesson #3. Don’t overthink it–step forward, backward, left, right, and circle as if you’re in a real fight.

Ultimately, the goal is to be able to move your stable stance anywhere anytime. Free your feet to stay on your feet! 🙂
