On Thursday, October 3 at 1:30 p.m. the suspect, Amadeo Medina Jr., assaulted the mother of Amadeo Felipe Medina at her residence and stated he had a gun. Medina Jr. then handcuffed and took the mother's sister, Naomi Salazar, and Amadeo Felipe Medina.

Medina Jr. was believed to have been heading for Mexicali, Mexico. His arrest in El Centro, only 5 miles from Mexicali, along with the Aunt, Naomi Salazar, is an indication of good police work.

Police said the suspect was wanted for domestic violence against his girlfriend four months ago.
