Mandeville, LA - In this morning's early hours Code Amber's ticker display count quietly passed the 500 Million Mark - a half BILLION tickers have been viewed since Code Amber first went live two years ago this week.

Code Amber's Java Script ticker, displaying urgent information during an Amber Alert child abduction incident, is now seen on over 175,000 thousand web sites and desktops, over one million times each day.

Founder and president, Bryant Harper, is passionate about this phenomenon. "This is an example of filling a need for the media, law enforcement and public. Every time CNN runs a story about an Amber Alert, they link to us, which causes thousands of tickers to be downloaded in a single day. I can't thank the public enough for the support they've shown in two short years.

In April, 2004 Harper was quoted as saying "I would like to see the Amber Alert system be so pervasive that it becomes a deterrent rather than the recovery tool it is."

Code Amber, the largest internet site for Amber Alert broadcasting, has seen many partners come on board over the past two years, including all the major TV networks. Just last week Code Amber and Newsroom Solutions announced a pilot program enhancing the EAS during Amber Alerts.

This week, Code Amber is proud to welcome Incident Page Network (parent company: 911 Interactive Media) to its family of supporters. IPN has over 1,500 dispatchers in the US and Canada monitoring police scanners and delivering information to Code Amber within seconds of a reported Amber Alert.

IPN's Danny Hamilton says, "We are proud that Code Amber trusts IPN to deliver our accurate and timely information in situations where seconds can save a life."

Harper adds, "They have not missed a single Amber Alert. Sometimes we'd get their page BEFORE we got official notification. Their dispatchers are aware time is of the essence."

In March, 2004, Code Amber was in Washington, DC with Katherine Harris (R-Sarasota) introducing Carlie's Law legislation named for Carlie Brucia, the 11 year old girl who was abducted and murdered in Florida last February. The legislation addresses parole and probation violators, essentially keeping violent criminals off the street. Carlie's accused murder had a long history of crime, but did little jail time.

Joe Brucia, Carlie's dad said recently, "History repeats itself. These criminals commit the same crimes over and over again. Organizations like Code Amber don't let the public forget about the victims."

Code Amber uses money donated by businesses in Carlie's name to distribute the video "Safety N.E.T. Kids, No Easy Targets" to law enforcement agencies across the country at no charge.

This year also saw international artist Pierre H. Matisse create the Code Amber poster depicting happy children enjoying a family day.

Harper is excited about upcoming partnerships and announcements. "This has been an incredible two years, but looking ahead to projects in the works there is hardly time for reflection, just vision."
