CANS Missing Endangered Alert Canceled for 8 Year Old California Girl

Code Amber News Service (CANS) canceled this Missing Endangered person Alert after the girl's body was recovered late Monday (04-06). Her body was found in a suitcase that had been found when farm workers drained a pond to irrigate a field. The pond was less than two miles from her home. Law Enforcement have cordoned off the trailer park where Sandra lived as the investigation returns to the area. No Amber Alert was issued in this case.

Sandra Cantu a white female, 8 years old, 4 feet tall with brown hair and brown eyes and weighs 45 pounds. She was last seen wearing a Hello Kitty T-shirt and a striped dress.

There are no suspects in this case at this time. However, due to the circumstances of the child's disappearance an abduction is strongly suspected.

There is no suspect vehicle at this time.
